All posts are based at the Wheatley head office, with projects in Oxfordshire as well as across southern England. Accommodation is provided on all away jobs, subsistence paid and travel time remunerated.

Project Officers £33,566.40 pa (reviewed in April)

Applicants must have at least 12 months commercial experience at that level. Experience in report writing for various scales of archaeological projects is essential. Candidates with less experience will be considered for Trainee Project Officer positions. The posts are permanent (subject to 6 month probation/training).

The successful candidates will be required to undertake fieldwork projects and subsequent report writing. An ability to carry out digital illustration and familiarity with GPS survey equipment would be advantageous.

Project Supervisors £29,000.04 pa (reviewed in April)

Applicants must have at least 6 months commercial experience at that level. Candidates with less experience will be considered for Trainee Project Supervisor positions. The posts are permanent (subject to 6 month probation/training).

The successful candidates will be required to assist in the completion of fieldwork projects and subsequent post-excavation tasks. An ability to carry out digital illustration would be advantageous.

Archaeologists £26,792.64 (reviewed in April)

The successful candidates will be required to assist in the completion of fieldwork projects and subsequent post-excavation tasks. Opportunities to cross skill (particularly survey) will be available. Contracts of minimum 6 months duration will be initially offered.

Trainees £23,809.50 pa (reviewed in April)

Trainee positions are available for those with less experience. Training would last for a minimum of 12 weeks as defined in the CIfA approved JMHS Training Scheme.
