Consultancy and Desk-Top Assessments

JMHS offers a range of services from the provision of basic advice and negotiation on the client’s behalf to full desk-based assessments.

Detailed analytical reports prepared to the highest standard include the results of extensive research, map regression and analysis of the archaeological potential of the site in question.



Historic Building Analysis and Recording


JMHS has a dedicated Historic Buildings officer whose job it is to liaise with clients in order to assist them through the planning process. Projects range from pre-determination evaluation and assessment to the production of fully illustrated building recording reports. The work is carried out to the IFA’s Standard and Guidance for the Archaeological Investigation and Recording of Standing Buildings or Structures and guidelines laid down by RCHME.

Archaeology

 The Director of JMHS has over 25 years experience in the field covering research and all levels of contract archaeology. The company undertakes watching briefs, evaluations and excavations, carrying the work through to post-excavation, full report preparation and archive production

Other services
