Selected examples from the range of evaluations JMHS has conducted
 
The proposed relocation of two schools to Wittington Way, Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire required 97 trenches each 50m long to be excavated prior to the development being considered.
The new A379 link road and associated housing development at Topsham, Devon involved 127 30m long trenches.
 
Housing development on the outskirts of Exeter, Devon saw 98 trenches each of 30m excavated as part of the pre-planning application work.
 
Creation of water features as part of a nature reserve at Otmoor, Oxfordshire involved the excavation of 35 trenches prior to the conservation work.
 
The excavation of 12 trenches each 30 x 3m was a requsit of the redevelopment of Pembury Hospital, near Tunbridge Wells in Kent
 
A new farm complex at Court Farm, Evenjobb, Powys needed 5 trenches totalling 380m to be excavated prior to development.
